Does A.I. pose a serious threat to our very existence?

Artificial Intelligence is fast becoming a part of our daily lives.

In this new release Green World Collective explores the darker side of this spiraling technological development.

This collection of songs are contemporary electro based compositions, although the derivative styles are taken from an eclectic mix of past genres and grooves.

1. Algorithm Blues - This little number is based on a Bo Diddley groove from the 1950s. Electro backing rhythms give this song an unusual take on a well trodden acoustic classic.

2. Dance To The Algorhythm - A sleazy kind of Kurt Weill stance, gives this track an air of old style sophistication.The melodic line is punctuated with electronic vocals, driven by a steady robotic rhythm.

3. The Truth - Caustic angry vocals ride on this powerful dance anthem
'...why is the truth so hard?’

4. Algorithmism - Techno dance track '...dance your socks off '.

5. I Just Wonder - The spoken vocals are supported by a dark foreboding backing of electronic and ethnic instruments. This is a stark reminder of the inevitable misuse and abuse of Artificial Intelligence.

What do I think about Artificial Intelligence?

There always has, and always will be plagiarism of some kind in all art forms. A.I. has opened up new possibilities in this area, but in broad terms, this is often part of the creative process. Blatant copying aside, why not use other musicians' ideas as a basis for your own?

However…

In other instances, the use of A.I. may be cause for concern. It’s not necessarily A.I. that is the problem, but rather the unscrupulous people who can so easily access this powerful technology.

‘A.I. will be no match for natural stupidity’

We are indirectly governed by corporate funding. The blatant misuse of A.I. together with an insatiable desire to acquire excessive financial control, is having a catastrophic effect on our daily lives.

As with the release of our previous album 'Tell Me What You See', all royalties will go to help various charities in their endeavors to fight climate injustice.
